In an effort to create a network of schools, and then invite other schools to participate in our forum, I have created a google spreadsheet for everyone to contribute to.  Please go see it.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p1zu94u-STdf91aVwqYZecg

  1. Add your school to the list
  2. Add your contact information to the list
  3. Add any contact information for other schools (who are not already in this group) so we can contact them later.
  4. Add any other schools you might know about.
I have add a couple of school names to the list on the right side that might have laptop projects, but I was not sure.  If you are sure, please load their info!

Madison Public Schools will be the newest 1:1 school Monday night during a special board of education meeting.  As such, we are very interested in hearing from 1:1 veterans about the challenges and successes of implementing a 1:1 program.

Our program will be called MACCESS, which is an acronym for MPS Advocating Children using Computers for Excellence and Student Success.  That title should also give you a very clear indication of the platform we will be using.  MACCESS is geared toward bridging the gap between school, home, and community to promote educational excellence.  Specifically, we believe MACCESS will help us ignite productivity, creativity, and motivation and will allow us to empower everyone equitably.

Anyway, I am sure that the learnings w have from the Apple Briefing, from visits to Arnold, Westside, O'Neill, and Pierce, the sessions at NETA, as well as from our own individual investigations are a good start.  Beyond that, you can count on us seeking advice as our implementation begins and as we experience some of those challenges that are sure to crop up.

Thanks for offering this support site!!!

Just wanted to share the link Mike Kozak of NDE is compiling also:
